One system for all applications
The u-Smart range of plumbing products can be used for drinking water installation of all sizes. A range of special products is available for all applications in old and new buildings. An extensive range of connectors enables the system to be connected to all standard on-wall installation systems and fixtures.

The new 2003 German drinking-water directive
As the polyethylene material used to line the inside of the pipe contains not one of the chemical substances (parameters) mentioned in the new German drinking-water directive, there is consequently absolutely no likelihood of such substances ever entering the drinking-water supply. u-Smart has been certified on the basis of working paper W 542 of the German Technical and Scientific Association on Gas and Water (DVGW). This certification takes into account, apart from the numerous specifications regarding mechanical characteristics, the checking for and evaluation of micro-organisms on the basis of working paper W 270 of the German Technical and Scientific Association on Gas and Water (DVGW), along with the regular inspections carried out to ensure conformity with the hygiene specifications established in the “plastic for use with drinking-water” (KTW) recommendations of the “drinking-water issues” workgroup of the Plastics Commission of the German federal ministry of health.
The entire surface of all press-type and compression fittings used by the u-Smart System are tin plated. The used brass alloys fulfill all requirements of the new German drinking-water directive. They can be used as per DIN 50930-6 (August 2001), without limit and with all qualities of water, as per the new German drinking-water directive.
For this reason, the u-Smart System can be used without any limitation in drinking-water installations

Comprehensive range of products
The comprehensive range of products enables complete installation form the riser to the fixture with only one system. The dimensional stability of the pipe and low heat expansion make only a few fixing points necessary – a practical advantage for fast installation. A range of clever tools rounds off the u-Smart system: from pipe cutters to beveling tools through to pressing tools.
